Piaggio Zip SP CVT Cooling Air Intake – 50 mm Hose Connection
Directed cooling airflow for your CVT transmission – precision-engineered for performance scooter builds!
High temperatures can develop inside the CVT transmission, especially during sporty riding and with high-performance engines. Components such as the drive belt, variator and clutch are exposed to considerable thermal stress.
Our specially developed cooling air intake by NormEngineering allows fresh air to be directed into the CVT transmission through a flexible cooling hose.
The intake is designed for the corresponding Piaggio Zip SP CVT cover with the lower ventilation opening, providing a practical solution for additional transmission cooling.
Key Features & Benefits
Directed Cooling Airflow: Allows fresh air to be guided directly into the CVT transmission area.
50 mm Hose Connection: Designed for use with a suitable flexible cooling air hose.
Improved CVT Ventilation: Supports heat dissipation and may help reduce thermal stress on transmission components.
Precision Fit: Specifically designed for the corresponding Piaggio Zip SP CVT transmission cover.
Two Material Options: Available in flexible TPU or carbon fiber reinforced PA12-CF.
Simple Installation: Mounted using two socket head screws.
Custom-Engineered by NormEngineering: Developed with a focus on functionality, fitment and durability.
Compatibility – Important!
This cooling air intake is designed exclusively for the corresponding Piaggio Zip SP CVT transmission cover featuring the lower circular ventilation opening and matching mounting points.
Compatibility depends on the installed transmission cover, not simply the scooter model.
Before ordering, please carefully compare the shape and mounting points of your CVT cover with the product images.
Fitment cannot be guaranteed for other transmission cover designs.
Material & Manufacturing
Available in two different material options:
TPU: Flexible and vibration-resistant material, particularly suitable for applications exposed to mechanical vibrations.
PA12-CF: Carbon fiber reinforced nylon offering high stiffness, good temperature resistance and mechanical durability.
Both versions are manufactured using 3D printing technology.
Installation
The air intake is attached to the designated mounting points on the compatible CVT cover using two socket head screws.
A suitable flexible cooling air hose can be connected to the 50 mm inlet.
Conclusion
Improve cooling airflow to your Piaggio CVT transmission!
A purpose-built solution for sporty street scooters and performance-oriented racing builds where effective CVT ventilation is especially important.
