Airbox Modification Kit for Piaggio Maxi 125–180cc
Increased airflow, optimized intake routing and an OEM-style appearance!
Our specially developed airbox modification kit is designed to improve the airflow of the original Piaggio Maxi airbox. Additional intake openings and optimized air routing significantly increase the airflow capacity while retaining the original airbox concept.
The latest version features a flexible, 3D-printed connecting hose with an OEM-style appearance, combining a clean installation with the flexibility required between the airbox and carburetor.
Optimized Intake System for Increased Airflow
Two additional openings are machined into the rear section of the original airbox. Specially designed, precisely fitting rectangular intake ducts are installed to allow additional air to enter the airbox.
A filter retaining bracket with a matching filter helps prevent dirt from entering through these additional openings.
At the front of the airbox, an intake funnel with a 50 mm connection diameter is installed, providing the connection to the intake hose and carburetor.
An additional plug is included to close the original front intake passage.
New: Flexible 3D-Printed Connecting Hose with OEM-Style Appearance
A key feature of the updated kit is our specially developed flexible, 3D-printed connecting hose.
Unlike the previous version with a universal flexible hose, the new design features a purpose-built shape that integrates neatly into the vehicle while maintaining an OEM-style appearance.
The flexible construction allows the hose to accommodate movement and vibration between the engine, carburetor and airbox. Its tailored geometry also provides clean and precise hose routing.

Upgrade option: Customers who already own our previous airbox modification kit with a flexible hose can purchase the new 3D-printed connecting hose separately to upgrade their existing setup.
Carburetor Compatibility
The standard version is intended for original carburetor applications. A matching flexible carburetor funnel for compatible Mikuni and Dellorto carburetors is included.
Tuning tip: When using a 24 mm, 26 mm or 28 mm PWK carburetor, the connecting hose can be mounted directly onto the carburetor without an additional adapter, provided the connection dimensions match.
Additional versions for other carburetor configurations will become available over time.

Includes the components required to modify your existing original airbox yourself. The necessary openings and adjustments must be carried out by the customer.
2. Modification Service – Send Us Your Airbox
Send us your existing original airbox and we will carry out the necessary machining and installation of the components.
Return shipping within Germany costs €6.00.
3. Modification Service with a New Airbox
For this option, we use a new airbox as the basis for the modification. Ideal if your existing airbox is damaged or no longer in good condition.
You receive a modified airbox based on a new housing without having to send us your existing one.

Due to the increased intake airflow, carburetor jetting adjustments may be necessary. After installation, check the air-fuel mixture and ensure that all components are securely mounted.
