CNC cylinder head modular 52/55mm stroke Piaggio Maxi 172/180ccm
The cylinder head in modular design impresses with its outstanding quality and is well thought out down to the last detail.
The head can be replaced plug and play and all functions of the original cylinder head are retained. The spark plug is now positioned centrally and not as off-centre like the original. The compression ratio is increased and the geometry of the combustion chamber is changed.
The thermostat can still be used with the original aluminium water connection or the CNC-milled version (NE-180-001-01).
With the supplied M6 water connection, the small water circuit is also still operated, which shortens the warm-up phase of the engine.
Compression ratio at 52mm stroke (original) 175.2ccm: 13,43:1
Compression ratio at 55mm stroke (long stroke) 185.3ccm: 14,1:1
The head can be ordered either with a combustion chamber calotte for 52mm or 55mm stroke. With the 55mm stroke variant, the advantage of precise manufacturing comes into its own. The head is centred exactly over the bore of the cylinder by fastening it with the outer fitting screws, thus preventing a collision of the piston with the combustion chamber.
The CNC-milled water jacket is anodised after the manufacturing process and then laser engraved.
